BASIC is a five-species fall cover crop mix designed for raised beds and home gardens. No single cover crop can do everything. That's why BASIC combines fodder radish, vetch, crimson clover, and white and brown mustards. Each species has a job to do. Radish helps break up compacted soil, legumes naturally add nitrogen, and mustards produce quick growth that protects bare ground and helps suppress weeds. Together, they work as a team to restore soil from the ground up.
